I've been trying to find subtle ways to make my car pop more...it tends to get washed out when it's sitting next to other cars and I think that's because I haven't gone as deep on the cosmetic as I have on the functional. This isn't to say i want to go overboard on cosmetics either...I'm definitely a function before form car enthusiast :)

Been thinking about removing the air ducts around my fogs....there are 3 schools of thought here.

1) Remove them

2) keep them

3) CSL bumper...which I'm trying to avoid but I'm open to suggestions

I attached a shot of each look....hoping you all can throw me your thoughts.

Thanks :)

huh? my duct covers ARE painted :p

I'm not doing a cf roof but the roof spoiler would look nice.

EDIT: Oh, you mean paint them black or something to contrast?

As mentioned earlier...
I would go with the CSL as well if absolutely have to replace the bumper.
If CSL is not the option, I would go with picture #2.

I shouldn't even have added the CSL option because I don't really want to go that route. I like having fogs.

I think I'm going to take the duct covers out (like the 2nd photo).

You didn't paint your pots though right? It's your bulb that's giving it that yellow tint? i'm wondering how big a job that is to do.

getting those air ducts off means taking the bumper off and I think even buying a new passenger side fog because the clip is broken on it and the duct cover is holding it in place haha.

nope didnt paint mine, its just the reflection from the bulbs. it should be really easy, just take apart your headlight, mask off the projector, and spray away lol.

haha I'm down.

Think that will look good on a silver car or is it too contrasting?

Took the covers off today....I'm much happier with it this way. I think without the cf lip the covers are actually fine and look pretty good....but with the cf lip the covers out make more sense as the black area ties in the cf :)

Getting rid of the air ducts was a good choice.

With a vented hood, u're done. :)

Here are two pictures of my M3 front for you to get some ideas and play around with.

I think you made the right choice. With the CF lip and the cover removed, it looks more aggresive. Oh, the black Kidney grilles match better too!

I have the same duct covers that are just waiting for paint. I have CF ones now but the tabs are broken so the new ones are going to be TiAg.
